A Day at the Beach

On Tuesday we enjoyed a lovely day at the beach with Heather and her kids, Mom, Nicole and her kids and Lindsay and Madison. Here are some of the highlights!
So here is a little known fact about me. I HATE sand. I really really really HATE it and everytime I got to the beach I try so hard to keep it off myself. That of course is always a waste of energy since no matter how hard you try you end up covered in sand. So after announcing to everyone that I was going to embrace the beach in all its sandy-ness, Nicole offered me $5 to let her bury me in the sand. I laughed and said no way and that I'd do it for at least $50. So she upped her offer to $10, Heather decided to throw $10 in the pot and mom said that she'd pay the difference of $30 since seeing me buried would bring her great joy! So I decided to do it since there was a pirate hoodie that I wanted at Disneyland so here I am in the sand.
The actual being buried part wasn't bad.
This was the sucky part. YUCK! But as Nicole said, I became one with the beach that day!
Brady's first time at the beach was for sure hilarious! I thought he would absolutely love the sand and the water but I couldn't have been more wrong. He hated the water, but that was understandable since it was FREEZING and he HATED the sand. He parked his little buddah self in a "Finding Nemo" beach chair and ordered everyone around to get him food, licorice and drinking boxes. We tried to make him get what he wanted himself but everytime he touched his feet to sand he would look at us and say "owah". I have it on video and will try to post that later but trust me, it was so adorable and funny. I had the easiest time with a 2 year old at the beach in the history of the world because Brady for sure did not embrace the beach in all its sandy-ness!
What a handsome little fella.
Brady did not "love it the water" (pardon my rolls please)
Here he is ordering someone around. I think he's demanding a juice box.

A snuggle and a kiss for daddy!
All in all our day at the beach was fantastic. The weather was perfect, the waves were big, nobody got too terribly sunburned, and we even saw a school of dolphins frolicking in the waves right in front of us.
Jackson stayed in the water ALL DAY! If we lived near the ocean he would for sure be a surfer!
For some reason this shot is a little out of focus but you can still see how cute Ty Ty is!
Here is Natalie a Brooky digging in the sand.
TJ's sister Lindsay and her little girl Madison. Madison for sure embraced the beach in all its sandy-ness!
Here is Natalie and her cousin Marin. They got along like 2 little peas in a pod! It was very cute.

Oh my word, you look damn fantastic! I don't know if I would be arrested or not for indecent exposure if I were to wear a bikini or not. I am just way too fat...and you are so damn skinny. Good job with the WW! It shows!

Okay, why is it that you look so DAMN good in that Bikini!! I braved one in AZ on my girls trip, and notice, I didn't put the pics on the web!! Your rolls are not rolls!! They are wrinkles from bending over!! Rolls are what I have....the kind that are wrinkles when I am standing up tall and straight and sucking in!! I am sooooo jealous of your hot little bod....and I'm proud of you for working so hard to get it off AND keep it off!! Why didn't I inherit the same flat belly genes as you did!! Anyway, you look great and I'm proud of you for being one with the sand! it will be easier next time!
