I'm Too Old for this CRAP!

Do you recognize these terms?

anabolism
catabolism
cytoplasm
endoplasmic reticulum
karyotype
mitochondria
deoxyribonucleic acid

Do you recognize this diagram?

So I'm sure you recognize them but do you know what they mean? I did at one time, and look! Here I am learning them again.

After 14 years, a husband and 4 kids later its a lot harder then it was.

And thus my looooooooooooong journey to becoming a nurse marches on!

I don't think I know what any of those terms mean, but I did know that the picture was of chromosomes. Good luck on your quest! You are a much better woman than I am. I have zero desire to go back to school! And you're not too old, you're almost 20-10, but that's not old!

Remember going to class and wondering "Why the crap do I have to learn this stuff? I'm never going to use it!"

Now you know why!

my mother in law went back to school to be a nurse and I always have thought that was cool. not cool for me but awesome for the ones to do it. So do it for me!! Good luck, I just hate school. I get wheezy looking at those chromosomes....school makes me sick. haha but ok for real, good luck that is AWESOME!! how long do you have left and what kind of nurse are you going to be?

If i went back full time and just focused on nursing I could get it done in 2 years but since I have little ones I'm doing independent study through BYU to finish my bachelors and then I'll do an accelerated nursing program which will be 12-18 months. So by the time Reece is in Kindergarten I should at least be getting started on my nursing. As for what kind of nurse I want to do Labor and Delivery!

I had NO idea!!!!!!! What made you decide to do that? And when do you possibly have time? I could study from 1am- 5am- that would be about the only time I'd have to get anything done. Of course, then I wouldn't be sleeping!

Julie,
Wow, you go girl! I am totally in awe- you are super woman! Good luck on all your studies. Now your kids can't complain about homework if you're doing it right beside them :)

That is so awesome!! I think it's great that you're going back to school and doing this. After all my time in the hospital the past couple weeks I seriously love nurses and I actually had a few that I REALLY miss now that I'm not at the hospital anymore. You'll make a great nurse.

Wow that looks complicated! Good for you though. I am still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up.

Good Luck! This is something that I would like to do, but don't know how to make it happen. Way to go after it! It think it is so awesome. And it will come back to you, you just gotta wake up the gray matter!!
