Crazy, Busy Weekends

Now that its September our weekends are going to be crazy busy! Every Saturday until October 27th we'll have a soccer game for Natalie and a football game for Jackson. Poor Brady and Reecey will be dragged to and from the games and in and out of the car and I'm afraid it won't be very fun for them. As for me and Teej, we just think its so much fun to watch our children doing things they love! We're so proud of them for their hard work and commitment. Its fun to see them learn and improve and I just can't help but feel that this is what being a parent is all about!

Here's Natalie on the soccer field. She's not the most aggressive player but she has shown a lot of improvement just from the Spring.

I think her coach was trying to get them lined up. They're starting to learn about positions, even though they don't really get it yet.

Another one of Natalie waiting for the action to begin. Like I said earlier, she may not be the most aggressive but she sure is fast!

She also won player of the game this past Saturday and she scored a goal! Go Purple Dolphins!!!

Alright here's Jack's game. Go Cowboys. He's the QB, by the way.

One of 3 passes he threw during the game. Unfortunately none of them were complete but this one in particular was really close. It hit the receivers hands but he just couldn't quite grab on!

A closer shot of Jackson the Quarterback.

Here he is after the hand off. No fumbles for him on Saturday. Woo-Hoo!

Running through the spectator tunnel after a win! Final Score Cowboys 20, Dolphins 6!

Here's Reecey. Obviously she is very unhappy

A few seconds later...still distressed and trying for dear life to hold on to that soo-soo

A few minutes later. As you can see the soo-soo is gone and unfortuately this little cherub didn't sleep for long. She sure is cute though!
And last but not least, for those who don't know, our house went up for sale this past Sunday. TJ is in the process of trying to find a job in Denver and we figured we'd better get a jump on selling our house since we don't want to be stuck here for forever once he does get a job in Denver. We'll see how it goes...wish us luck!

I totally agree that going to your kids stuff all weekend is totally what being a parent is all about. I'm not there yet, but I'm living vicariously through Josh and Taylor until my kids are old enough to have sports on the weekend. Jack looks so cute and so big, especially compared to #9. Natalie is adorable. I love that her shorts come right to the top of her shinguards. Her hair is so long too. And oh my gosh! Reecey looks just like Natalie in that picture where she is asleep. So crazy! Yea for house up for sale, move here soon!

Julie...you chose the most perfect music to go with today's post. Kind of made me chuckle. Love it! Going to sports on Saturdays sounds awesome! Can't wait to experience that :-) Your house is gorgeous...hopefully it will sell quickly so you can get to Denver. (As I'm recently new to the blogging world..I'm starting to pick up from your blog that you're not particularly fond of Chicago) Or is that an understatement.lol

Great pics of your sporty kids! It does look super fun to go to all your kids' stuff on the weekends! And AWESOME that your house is up for sale so you can move to Denver as soon as possible... which I know is exactly what you want. Good luck to TJ getting an offer quickly! Your house is beautiful and I'm sure it will sell fast. Oh, and also, Reece is ADORABLE... whether crying or not!!

Jack looks so grown up as the quarterback. Maybe because he is so grown up. I can't believe he's almost 8!! And Natalie looks SOOOOOO cute in her soccer uni! I was just thinking that next year they'll both be wearing Back and Red Uniforms as those are the Highlands Ranch team uniform colors for both Soccer and Football. Makes it easy for me to dress in team colors on Saturdays. No changing clothes between games!!

Fun Fun! Marin is cheering and gets to cheer for Justin's team- miracle of miracles, so we actually only have one game each week! cute pics!

This is Matt B. by the way, and I was telling Erin that I can't wait until we have eventful Saturday's like you crazy folks. I love Jackson's pass, it looks like he throws like a champ. Natalie is so freaking cute in her soccer outfit, and Erin's proud of her considering everyone else in the Brink family thinks that soccer sucks royally! The pic of Reece about made me die laughing. Nice update.

Julie... got the facebook birthday present! Thanks! I am trying to figure out the facebook thing, because what I have figured out so far I have loved. That is addicting, like the blogging. Ha! I basically look at what I see other people have on their facebook then add it. Is that what you do? lol
