I've been meaning to blog for a while now but haven't been able to get around to it! Now that school's started I feel like I haven't been able to take a breath, let alone do anything extra like blog! Why is it that even though 2 of my kids aren't home all day I feel 100 times busier then when they were all home!?!
So here we go...
I'll begin with TJ and Natalie's date night. TJ and I try to have one on one time with our kids on a regular basis. (the key word there is try) Way back when we first got there TJ got the idea to take Natalie to High School Musical Onstage. So he got tickets and told Natalie they were gonna do something really fun in August for a date, but he wouldn't tell her what it was. So after much guessing and speculating the date night finally arrived. She was very excited to go, even though she still didn't know where they were going! They started with a nice dinner at Tepanyaki and then they drove up to SLC and walked around Temple Square a little bit. After that they were walking down the street when Natalie spotted the theater with all the HSM paraphanalia. She got really excited and asked if they could go look. TJ said okay and off they went to check it all out. Needless to say Natalie was VERY surprised when they walked in and TJ handed the lady to tickets for the show!
Here are some pictures of Brady's birthday. It was so fun to have LouLou, Aunti Lindsay and Aunti Ali here with us to celebrate Brady's 4th birthday! I'll get around to a birthday montage soon!
And last but not least....SCHOOL STARTED!!! Here are the kids on their first day of school!
So like I said earlier...I feel so busy all the time. The other day I was getting my kids in bed and was being really cranky with them (what? me cranky? NEVER) Anyways, I was having guilt over my orneryness and was thinking to myself, "how can I be so grouchy when most my kids haven't even been home all day?" when it occurred to me that I'm so grumpy when its bedtime because what we do between 3:45 and 8:00 at night is MORE then what I do all day...and its not like I sit around picking my nose all day so I'm EXHAUSTED!!!!
Aaaaaahhhhh, the life of a mom. So even though I fall into bed every night and am asleep before my head even hits the pillow I'm so thankful for the opportunity I have to be a mommy. Its everything I ever dreamed of (with me a little bit crankier then I dreamed of) and more! I'm so grateful that my kids are healthy and happy and that I am here to take care of them. I love them all so much and am so proud of the great young people they're turning into! Time goes too fast and I tell myself every day that before I know it they'll be gone with families of their own so I try to savor every moment, even though I don't always succeed! So Happy Busy Mommy Life to me and to all you other busy Mommy's out there!

Happy Busy Mommy Life to you! I feel you on the oneriness! Colton just told me tonight that I have been extra abrupt with the girls lately. But I already knew that! I need to work on being a more patient, happy mom! Cute school, date night and birthday pictures. I love your kids!
I love the update! Nannie Rae looked so beautiful on her date with TEEJ! I love her. Happy Birthday to Mr. Brady - I love him too! And off course I love the first day of school pics, they are adorable. I just wished I lived closer.
I hear you sister!!!! I saw Mama Mia 2 nights ago and I cried through the whole sond Meryl Streep sang as her daughter was getting dressed for the wedding. They grow up way too fast- believe me I had one start junior high this week!!!! It seems like just yesterday that you were coming over to our Provo apt to play with her on the swings!
Oh my goodness, how you do it with 4 I will never know!! I know what you mean about being so busy...no one said kids wern't EXHAUSTING, but you are so right, they are the best little things in the world and we have to take it all in now. I am sure you've heard the country song "your gonna miss this"...I still cry every time I hear it!!! Your kids are beautiful!
Date night! How fun! That was a great surprise. Your kids are just so frickin cute! I only have 1 kid who doesn't even really do anything yet and I'm exhausted so I totally give you props for not banging your head against a wall every day of your life...
Thanks for the update... I could tell you must have been busy lately since it's been a while since we got a new post. The kids are all so cute on their first day of school and I especially liked the story about Natalie and TJ's date night... she looked so pretty and excited and I love that he surprised her with tickets to the show! Happy 4th birthday to Brady, too... he's so stinking cute, I love him!

I love the date night photos. Natalie looked so pretty! Amelia LOVES HSM. She is very excited for HSM 3. It comes out in October. Back to school...I agree...so much busier now. I too try to control the lack of patience. I seriously pray everyday that I can be kinder, nicer and have more patience with the kids. It's a work in progress. :) Great photos of the kids' 1st day of school. Happy birthday Brady!
