Brady

Brady has been so darn cute and funny lately that I had to write a quick post about him. First of all he is LOVING Karate. He looks forward to it every week and about 3 weeks ago he came home with a medal! Each week a medal is awarded to a child in the class who has listened, been respectful and done well in what he/she is being taught! Every week Brady would tell me he was going to try hard for the medal and each week when he wouldn't get it he would be a little let down. Needless to say he was absolutely THRILLED when he finally got it! I'm just glad we've found something that Brady likes so much!

Come to think of it Brady is actually going to have a very busy Spring...perhaps the busiest of all my kids. In addition to Karate he will also play soccer and he had his first day of private swim lessons today. If there's one thing I miss about living in Plainfield it the swimming lessons that were offered through the community. You could do group, private, or semi-private and putting Jack and Natalie in private was what got them swimming on their own. Here they don't offer that but some friends of mine told me about a lady who teaches swim lessons that have the kids swimming on their own by the end. I figured since its a total WASTE to put him in community swim lessons we'd do that instead. So hopefully he'll be swimming on his own by the end of his first session!

For anyone who doesn't know Brady is quite the ladies man! He loves girls and is so sweet with them. One day we took one of his little girlfriends to McDonalds and as they were walking in holding hands he said to me, "Lizey looks really pretty today mom." I told him to tell Lizey that and he did. Too cute! He's always very concerned about who he will marry and he can never decide if Lizey or another girl Payton is his "best girl." A few weeks ago I asked if he had decided who his best girl was and he told me that he liked a girl in his class named Ashton. So with that in mind, this is the conversation we had yesterday.

B: I can't wait until I'm resurrected
J: What?
B: I can't wait until I'm 8 so I can be resurrected.
J: You mean you can't wait until you're 8 so you can be baptized?
B: (giggling) Yeah. That's what I meant!
J: That's really good buddy. What about going on a mission. Are you gonna go on a mission too?
B: Yep. When I'm 100.
J: (laughing) You mean when you're 19?
B: Yeah, when I'm 19. Then I'll come home and get married. Right mom?
J: Yep.
B: But mom, I don't know who I'm going to marry because Ashton broke up with me!
J: (trying not to laugh) Oh no! Ashton broke up with you? What happened?
B: Well I liked her, then she liked me, then she said she didn't like me anymore!
J: Are you okay?
B: Yeah. I just don't know who I'm going to marry now!

Hahahahaha! I was laughing so stinkin' hard! I have no idea where he got the "Break-up" thing from but I thought it was hilarious!

So there's my update on my Brady! He's so dang cute and he for sure keeps us entertained! We're so blessed to have him in our family!

That is so sweet! When we are all together I hardly ever get to speak to Brady. I'm glad you wrote this so I feel like I know him a bit better>

What a little sweetie he is!

I agree about the private swim lessons. They are the best to get them swimming on their own!
