Brady's Injury and one more thing.

For those of you who know Brady, you know that it would be just his luck for something like this to happen to him.  For those who don't know Brady let me tell you a bit about him.

Brady is 3 years old and is fairly accident prone.  He's never been seriously injured but I feel like we've been very blessed in that!  I guess his accidents started when he was about 13 months old.  I was cleaning my bathtub and he had just barely learned to walk.  He came into see me, tripped on the rug and went headfirst into the tub.  He hit his mouth and knocked his front tooth out of place.  Luckily he pushed the tooth back into place with his tongue but its now dead and discolored.  The inside of his lip was really torn up too after that fall.  Then, about a month later he feel down the stairs...from the top to the bottom!  Anybody who has been to my house in Illinois will know how far that is to go.  Anyone who hasn't, trust me when I say its far.  Brady is the kid who never gets injured from being a naughty, climbing, monkey boy, but will injure himself walking from one room to the next.  From the time he bonked his face and fell down the stairs, Brady has had stitches once, dermabond once, and probably should've had stitches another time.  He's cracked the back of his head, cutting it open a bit, a concussion, several more falls down the stairs and now...a wasp sting!

We were at our new house this morning meeting with a guy to get a bid on finishing our basement.  Brady was down in the basement with us and walked over to a window to look outside.  Just his luck, when he put his hand down on the window sill he put it down on a half dead wasp that stung his middle finger.  It was one of those things that TJ told him to be careful of the wasp the very same second he put his hand on it.  Poor little guy.  It was kind of delayed, but he grabbed his hand, started walking over to where we were, and then started to wail!

As to not bother the "basement talk", I took him upstairs to try and console him.  This is our conversation, with him crying the whole time.
J:  I'm so sorry honey.  What can I do to fix it?
B:  I need a bandage!!!
J:  I don't have a bandaid here.  Can I kiss it better?
B:  NOOOOOOOOOO!
J:  What can I do?
B: (getting kind of mad now) Squash a bug so it no stings persons no more.
J:  Okay I'll have Daddy squash the wasp.
B:  (looking at his wound and now really mad)  STUPID WASP!!!!

So I've learned several things from this brief conversation with my 3 year old.
1.  Brady will want revenge on those who hurt him.
2.  When Brady is very mad he will say bad words like stupid.  (hmmmmm?  Sound like someone else we know?  Except my mad words are worse then stupid)  Those who have read the post about "stoops" will know that he must've been very very very upset to actually say the word stupid.

Anyways, it got a bit swollen for a little while afterward but it is all back to normal and doesn't hurt at all anymore!  In Brady's words, "mine sting all beh-yer."

So the picture at the top is where his sting was.  The picture below is just a funny picture of him.  Cute haircut right?

Now one more thing.  I forgot to post this picture on the previous post, but its so funny so I had to post it.  This is my father-in-law reading the menu at Earl's with the light from his cell phone cause it was so dark where they sat us.  I don't know why but it just struck me as really funny, and those who know Torrey will really appreciate it!
(because of the flash on my camera you can't tell how dark it actually was, so maybe its not that funny after all)
